CRI’s Andrew Pleasant and Chuck Palm Present at 2015 American Public Health Association Annual Meeting

CRI Senior Director for Health Literacy and Research Andrew Pleasant, Ph.D., and CRI Life Enhancement Program Manager Chuck Palm, M.P.H., offered four CRI presentations at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting to show how CRI partnerships and programs are improving people’s lives in low-income communities. Presentations included the successful initial pilot of the CRI Healthy Community Program, how complementary and alternative medicine practices are integrated into the CRI Life Enhancement Program (CRI LEP), CRI LEP outcomes related to improving health in Hispanic communities, and how CRI builds sustainable community partnerships such as the Canyon Ranch Institute Savannah Partnership (CRISP) in Savannah, GA. Andrew also led a roundtable about youth-led hands-on cooking and nutrition demonstrations.
