Canyon Ranch Institute (CRI) creates leading-edge, mutually beneficial partnerships with organizations that have a fundamental commitment to, and focus on, creating opportunities for wellness in communities worldwide, especially communities that have been traditionally underserved. CRI is particularly interested in culturally competent programs and efforts that seek to prevent disease, promote health literacy, reduce health disparities, and translate the best available science in order to enable communities to create positive behavior and lifestyle changes.

CRI Life Enhancement Program
The Canyon Ranch Institute Life Enhancement Program (CRI LEP) transfers the best practices of Canyon Ranch to underserved communities in partnership with health organizations to prevent, diagnose, and address chronic diseases through an integrative approach to health. Canyon Ranch Institute currently has three CRI LEP partners across the United States. These are Urban Health Plan in the South Bronx, NY; Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan, MO; and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Lance Armstrong Foundation
Canyon Ranch Institute is partnering with the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) to re-engage the fight against cancer. Together, CRI and the LAF have reached out to previous United States Surgeons General to develop an evidence-based National Call to Action on Cancer Prevention and Survivorship that will serve as a roadmap for all Americans to identify the best strategies for cancer prevention and survivorship and make both cancer prevention and survivorship a national priority. CRI and LAF have also collaborated on co-hosting the CRI LIVESTRONG Week at Canyon Ranch, co-sponsoring the LIVESTRONG Fellowship Program for people affected by cancer, and co-hosting the CRI LIVESTRONG Day Celebration to promote awareness of cancer prevention and survivorship. Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease
The Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease works to increase access to high-quality health care, including expanding preventive care; promoting health and wellness; helping reduce health disparities; eliminating unnecessary and costly bureaucracy in the health system; and enhancing health information and encourage innovation. Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health
Canyon Ranch Institute formed a partnership with the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH) based on mutual interest in community-based public health research and intervention programs. The first program initiated by this partnership is the Healthy Steps for Families Demonstration Project. Cleveland Clinic
The Cleveland Clinic plays an important role in the communities it serves, providing uncompensated health care to the poor; engaging in a broad range of medical, research, education and training programs; and sponsoring and supporting numerous public health initiatives and services. Canyon Ranch Institute is working in partnership with Cleveland Clinic on the Cleveland-area HealthCorps Demonstration Project and the Canyon Ranch Institute Life Enhancement Program in Cleveland. The George Washington University SPHHS
Canyon Ranch Institute formed a partnership with The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services to change how we perceive and approach the problem of obesity, overweight, and weight-related health risks. The first program initiated by this partnership includes CRI's participation in the Strategies to Overcome and Prevent (STOP) Obesity Alliance. CRI President Richard H. Time to Talk CARDIO
Time to Talk CARDIO is a program that aims to help patients and health care professionals make the most of their conversations about heart health. Canyon Ranch Institute joined the Time to Talk CARDIO partnership because of our commitment to helping to improve health literacy and increase prevention of chronic disease. CRI President Richard H. National Call to Action on Cancer Prevention and Survivorship
The National Call to Action on Cancer Prevention and Survivorship, which was released July 23, 2008, outlines a battle plan in the new war on cancer and serves as a roadmap for all Americans — including cancer survivors, health care professionals, policymakers, employers, educators, insurers, and scientists — to identify the best strategies for cancer prevention and survivorship and make both cancer prevention and survivorship a national priority. CRI is the administrative home of the National Call to Action on Cancer Prevention and Survivorship, serving to support the NCTA Community in furthering the goals the NCTA and to provide a hub for communication, idea sharing and information dissemination among the members.
